Olympic SAL Day 15 - Olympic Medals - Silver

Here is my progress on Paris by Thea Gouverneur.  I switched out the white evenweave that came in the kit with this beautiful color Brigid of hand dyed fabric from Under the Sea Fabrics.

This was my starting point...

And here is my progress!

A quick reminder of what the finished design will look like...

It is funny on both of my Paris themed designs I worked on for this challenge I worked on part of  L'arc de Triomphe!

See you soon and Happy Stitching!

Stitch Maynia: Day 16 Elmo

Day 16 (I'm going all the way to 31) Elmo by Thea Gouverneur. It was so nice not to have to think about where to put the colors or count the stitches for once!

I got all of the above done on the first day of stitching :)

This is how far I got on the second stitching session.

If you look at the back of this piece you can really see all of my progress better since this is done on a painted canvas.  At first working on the canvas was a bit tricky.  I thought it would be more like a needlepoint canvas with all even spaces for the holes for stitching, but then I realized that the needle and yarn was supposed to go in each of the bigger holes.

I hope I can finish this for my kids before they outgrow Elmo!  Until the next time...Happy Stitching!

Stitch Maynia: Day 12 Paris

Day 12 is Paris by Thea Gouverneur on Brigid by Under the Sea Fabrics!

Here is a bigger view of the fabric.  I chose this piece to look like a sunset in the sky of Paris.

I recently was able to stitch a bit more on this design...

This is part of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica.  When I first started stitching I fel in love with this design but it was always out of my price range ($150+ USD) but about a year ago I found an amazing sale at Keepsake Needlearts and finally purchased it for myself :)  What I really loved about my Stitch Maynia experiment this year was finally starting so many designs that I have been aching to start for awhile.

This was my first ever order from Under the Sea Fabrics and I could not be more happy with the service and product I received.

See you soon...Happy Stitching!
