Stitchnmomma Fall Fiesta Exchange

Earlier this fall I participated in the Fall Fiesta Exchanged sponsored by one of my favorite designers Stitchnmomma.  In this exchange you stitched a fall themed piece for your partner and also sent a small fall themed treat.

This is the piece that I made for my partner Kelly.  I found the pattern online and I used her Stitchnmomma fabric and threads from Mo's Sale.

I had originally started it on another fabric from Stitchnmomma here... but it was turning out to be way too big for the size box I could use to send it, and the weave of the fabric was too loose for my taste.

Here it is all finished from the front.

And here is the back.

I think it turned out fairly well and I sent her a few Taiwan goodies but I forgot to get a photo of them.

The person who drew my name was Dana and this is what I was so lucky to receive!

She made the lovely Autumn pillow and sent the Halloween magazine, fall list pad, and some spiced apple cider :)

I am currently using the pillow to help decorate my home for fall.  This was my first time participating in a stitched item exchange and I really treasure the time the other stitcher took to make the pillow to send to me.

See you soon...Happy Stitching!

Fiberlicious Halloween Mystery Package & New Blogaversary Winner!

Hello!  I can't believe I haven't written a single post in October.  I have so much to catch you up on.

First, I have drawn a new winner for my prize #3 of Cross Stitch & Bead Weaving Book from my 4th Blogaversary Giveaway.  And the winner is....Connie Cain!  Congratulations Connie, please contact me at lucyRmitchell@yahoo.com so that I can send you your prize.

I have had my eye on all of the gorgeous hand dyed threads from Fiberlicious for quite some time and never made a purchase.  So when she decided to offer a Halloween Mystery Package including hand dyed fabric (which she doesn't usually sell) I jumped on the chance to get one.

There were three options available:  small, medium, and large.  I decided on the medium package.

This was the special Halloween touch Nguyen added on the outside of the envelope.

And here is my package all wrapped up in lovely Halloween colored tissue paper.

This is everything inside...

First is a piece of her gorgeous fabric.  It is 28 count even weave and the edges have all been serged so there is no unraveling of the fabric.

Next are the beautiful Halloween colored hand dyed threads...

Then this zippered ORT holder which I have already been putting into use.

Next is this adorable scissors fob.  I had never actually used one before but I really like using this one and the added weight it gives to your scissors when you grab them to use while stitching.

Next is this hand made needle minder...

And last but not least is this spooky ouija board themed hand made needle case.

This is everything all lined up...

I am really happy with everything that came in my Halloween Mystery Package and I plan to order more of the gorgeous threads from Fiberlicious in the future!

See you soon .., and Happy Stitching!
