Recently I was watching a science video on YouTube with my daughter and it showed an artist creating some glass blown objects and it reminded me of the time I went on a trip to Hadeland Glassverks in Norway and created a small vase while I was pregnant with her. She got so excited when I showed her the finished product yesterday, and I hope that you enjoy some photos of my visit there in 2011!
Here are some artist at work creating beautiful Glass Pieces.
These are the three choices of glass pieces you could make for a fee. I chose to make the one on the left.
Here is the Artisan who helped me create my vase.
Some broken pieces that didn't make the cut!
Some finished pieces on display in one of the many shops.
I still have some unused candles I purchased at the candle shop I think!
Here are some photos of the gorgeous Norwegian countryside. The wrapped hay bales remind me of Mozzarella cheese...
Thank you for looking! I still have many stitching updates to share but I'll save that for another day. Until then...Happy Stitching!
Thanks for sharing these pictures. I have always been amazed by the making of hand blown glass and it was great to see your pictures. The scenery is beautiful!
